Calling all thriller, horror, mystery, and dark-fiction readers — Fireheart's Thriller/Horror Book Club is officially beginning!
And there couldn't be a more fitting way to start a Bangor-area Thriller/Horror Book Club than with Stephen King.
In honor of Stephen King's September 21 birthday, our very first selection will be Misery by Stephen King. 🎈🔪

A physical copy of Misery
Admission to our September kickoff

The opportunity to help choose our next Thriller/Horror selection
📚 No reading is required before this meeting!
Your copy of Misery will be waiting for you at our September 22 kickoff. Our first meeting will be about getting to know one another, talking about our favorite thrillers and horror books, celebrating a little Stephen King, and officially beginning our first month of reading together.
At our next meeting, we'll come back together to discuss Misery and you'll receive the next Book Club selection.

Future selections won't just be chosen for you — our members will have a say in what we read.
During our kickoff, we'll introduce two choices for our next Thriller/Horror read, and the club will vote to decide which one comes next.
Already read Misery? You're absolutely still welcome to join us! Come for the community, revisit the book with us, and help decide what Fireheart reads next.

While renovations on Fireheart Tavern are being completed, our first meetings will be hosted at a local Bangor-area space. We'll send registered members the confirmed location and additional details before the event.
Please note: Drinks are not included in your $30 registration. Beverages will be available to purchase separately from our host venue.
Registration closes September 12 or when all 20 spots are claimed, whichever comes first.
