Epic adventures, magical worlds, distant galaxies, intricate magic systems, and stories that transport you somewhere entirely new? Welcome to The Fireheart Tavern's Fantasy & Sci-Fi Book Club!
This club is for readers who love fantasy and science fiction in all their forms! From high fantasy and epic adventures to dystopian futures, space exploration, and complex worldbuilding, we'll explore stories where imagination knows no limits.
While we love a good romance, this club will focus on stories where the adventure, magic, and worldbuilding take center stage!
We're kicking things off with Tress of the Emerald Sea by Brandon Sanderson!
A whimsical fantasy adventure filled with dangerous seas, pirates, unusual magic, and unexpected friendships, this standalone novel is the perfect introduction to the imaginative worlds of fantasy.
Your physical copy of Tress of the Emerald Sea will be provided at our first meeting, so there's no need to purchase or read it beforehand!
The Fireheart Tavern will choose our first book to get things started. From there, we'll work together as a club to explore new authors, share recommendations, and decide which worlds we'll dive into next!

Shared appetizers and soft drinks
Two hours of bookish conversations and connecting with fellow fantasy and sci-fi lovers!
November Meeting: Saturday, November 14, 2026 | 2–4 PM
Location: Pats Pizza of Holden, 1 Main Road, Holden ME
Additional food and alcoholic beverages will be available for individual purchase.
At our first meeting, we'll get to know one another, talk about our favorite books and authors, and discuss what we'd love to read as a group.
Some months we may explore standalone novels, while others might take us on longer adventures through trilogies or full series. We'll make those decisions together!
You'll always know what's coming next, with future selections announced in advance and books provided at the meeting before their discussion.
Space is limited to 20 readers!
Whether you're a longtime fantasy reader, a sci-fi enthusiast, or someone just beginning to explore these genres, there's a place for you here.
Come for the books, stay for the magic, and let's discover a few new worlds together! 🖤✨
